What is CrossUpload?
CrossUpload is a web service for file storage and sharing. You can upload documents, software, images, APKs and more, organize them in folders and share them with a link.
Is creating an account free?
Yes. Registration is free. Each account gets initial storage (about 30 GB by default) and a maximum file size (about 1 GB by default). These values can be adjusted by site administrators.
How do I upload a file?
Log in, go to “Upload” or “My files” and use the upload button. You can also drag and drop the file onto the drop zone. When the upload finishes, the file appears in your panel.
Where are my files stored?
Your files are stored on CrossUpload servers (service infrastructure, which may include dedicated storage servers). The management site is at www.crossupload.org; file downloads may be served from CrossUpload file infrastructure.
What is the maximum file size?
By default it is 1 GB per file. Larger files will be rejected. An administrator can change this limit.
How much total space do I have?
The default quota is about 30 GB per user. Your panel shows how much you’ve used. If it’s full, delete files or ask an administrator for more quota.
How do I share a file?
In “My files”, if the file is public you’ll see a link to copy. That link opens the download page. You can also use the copy-link button next to the file.
What’s the difference between public and private?
Public: anyone with the link can view and download the file. Private: the file is not offered via the public share link. Still, don’t use CrossUpload as the only copy of highly sensitive secrets.
Where are files downloaded from?
The link you see is always from CrossUpload (for example download.php). Behind the scenes, large files are served from CrossUpload storage infrastructure for faster downloads. The saved filename should match the original upload name.
What file types can I upload?
Most common formats: ZIP, APK, PDF, images, audio, video, installers, documents, and more. Dangerous server-side types (such as PHP) are blocked to protect the platform.
The upload fails or stalls. What should I do?
Check your connection, the file size and your available quota. Try again on a stable network. If it continues, contact support with your username and the file name.
I can’t download a shared file.
Make sure the link is complete, the file is still public and hasn’t been deleted by the owner. Try another network or incognito mode. If the download counter goes up but the file never arrives, report it via Contact.
Can I delete my account or my files?
You can delete files from “My files”. To fully delete your account, go to “My account” and use Delete my account. Deleting a file breaks its share link.
I forgot my password.
Contact support with the account email or username. For security, access is only reset after reasonable ownership verification.
Are my files private from other users?
Other users cannot see your panel. They only access what you share with a public link. Staff may intervene in abuse, security or legal cases, under the Terms and Privacy Policy.
Is there antivirus or automatic scanning?
CrossUpload applies basic measures (blocking dangerous extensions, server best practices) but does not guarantee full antivirus scanning of every file. Only download from sources you trust and keep your device protected.
How do I report abuse or illegal content?
Use the Contact page, include the file link and a short description. We’ll review and act as appropriate (block, remove or escalate legally).
